Press and media

Yearfold is a free retirement calculator that runs 10,000 simulated market futures and models couples explicitly. We publish the data behind it so journalists and writers can check our numbers and use them.

Who runs Yearfold

Yearfold is built and run by Mindaugas Laucius, a technologist with more than 30 years of experience building large systems for enterprise and government clients. He is not a financial planner or adviser — the about page explains how content is checked against primary sources. Yearfold is a financial-education tool, not a registered investment adviser.

How we make money: the calculator is free. Revenue comes from display ads, an optional paid PDF report, and a paid Pro plan with ongoing plan updates. Our calculator comparisons say so up front, because we compete with the tools we compare.

Data we publish

Citing and reusing our numbers

  • Quote any figure or table with a link to the page it came from.
  • Reuse our CSV data in your own charts and analysis with the same attribution.
  • Our results are probabilistic projections under stated assumptions, not guarantees or advice — please describe them that way.

Embedding the calculator

Publishers can add a free, working version of the calculator to an article with one snippet. It collects no reader data and carries a small “Powered by Yearfold” link. Get the embed code.
